January 12, 2026

His Eminence, Archbishop Stephen, will celebrate the Feast of the Holy Theophany of Our Lord Jesus Christ on January 5/18 & 6/19 at the Archdiocesan Chapel of Sts Photios the Great and Gregory, Archbishop of Syracuse. His Eminence will preside at the following services for the Feast: On Friday morning, January 3/16, His Eminence will preside at the Royal Hours at 9:00 am. On Saturday, January 4/17, His Eminence will preside at the Festal Vigil of the Lord's Day at 6:00 pm. On Sunday morning (January 5/18), His Eminence will celebrate the Divine Liturgy of the Lord's Day (the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom) at 9:30 am, preceded by Matins and the First, Third, and Sixth Hours at 7:30 am. On Sunday Evening, His Eminence will preside at the Festal Vigil of the Feast of Theophany (Great Vespers & Great Compline), which will begin at 6:00 pm and will include the Great Blessing of Waters. On the morning of the Feast (January 6/19), His Eminence will celebrate the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great at 9:30 am, preceded by Matins,  and the First, Third, and Sixth Hours at 7:30 am. Immediately after the celebration of the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence will perform the Great Blessing of Waters. Following the morning Liturgy and Great Blessing of Waters, the faithful are invited to remain for a festal meal.

The Italo-Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of the Americas & Canada

 

The Archdiocese is the geographical ecclesiastical district of the Italo-Greek Byzantine Orthodox Catholic Church. The Archdiocese, missionary by nature, seeks to build up the Kingdom of God on earth by calling all people to the conversion of heart, mind, and spirit; to the fulness of the Apostolic Faith; and to membership and life in the Body of Christ.

 

The canonical territory of the Archdiocese encompasses the continental United States, Canada, South America, and the United States Protectorates. Utica, New York is the Metropolitan See of the Archdiocese as well as the home of the Cathedral of the Most Holy Theotokos - Our Lady of Grace, Mother Church and the Metropolitan Throne of the Archdiocese, and the Chancery Office.

 

The Archdiocese is led by His Eminence, Stephen, Archbishop of Siracusa and Ortigia, and of All Sicily, Southern Italy, and Magna Graecia, Metropolitan of the Americas and Canada of the Italo-Greeks, Bishop of Utica, and Primate of the Italo-Greek Byzantine Orthodox Catholic Church.
