Easy Ways to Give and Create a Lasting Memory
Outright Gifts
The simplest and most frequently used method of providing support for the Archdiocese; its parishes, missions, and congregations, or any other archdiocesan entity is online through a cash donation. The Italo-Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of the Americas and Canada accepts gifts made by check, electronic funds transfer (EFT), or credit card authorization (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express). You may benefit from such gifts with a charitable deduction on your tax return.
Wills & Living Trusts
Wills and living trusts are used to distribute property and protect your loved ones after your passing. They also provide an easy and affordable way to help meet the critical needs of the Archdiocese.
Everyone should have an up-to-date will or living trust, carefully thought through, and drafted by a lawyer. It is an investment of time that will reward you with peace of mind.
With a will or living trust you can:
- Provide for family and loved ones
- Distribute assets as you wish
- Choose an executor or trustee
- Nominate a guardian for dependents
You can use a will or living trust to:
- Maintain control and flexibility
- Create a permanent endowment
- Honor someone with a memorial gift
- Receive a naming recognition for your gift
- Support your favorite program or service
Beneficiary Designations
Not everyone wants to commit to making a gift in their wills or estates. Some prefer the increased flexibility that a beneficiary designation provides by using:
- IRAs and retirement plans
- Life insurance policies
- Donor-advised funds
- Commercial annuities
It is very simple to name the Italo-Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of the Americas and Canada or one of its parishes, missions, and congregation, or another archdiocesan institution, organization, and entity as a beneficiary. Start by requesting a change-of-beneficiary form from your policy administrator or download the form from your provider's website. Make your desired changes and return the form to establish your gift.
